Healthy Snacks

Healthy snacks can help boost a child’s mental and physical skills.  We encourage parents to send their child to school with a piece of fruit or vegetables to eat at break time every day. It gives children a much needed energy boost during the morning.

We are committed to our school policy of healthy eating and therefore snacks such as crisps, cookies, cakes, etc. are not permitted. As teachers, we have found that the high levels of sugars in sugary snacks make children excitable and unfocused. In addition, the children really do enjoy their fruit but not so much when someone else has a chocolate bar!

Please also ensure that you send in a water bottle with your child.  They are encouraged to drink water throughout the day and have opportunity to refill it.

Thank you for your continued support.
